My people and I have been going non-stop for over 3 weeks.
Seriously. Non. Stop.
Most of our schedule has been full of fall fun with our favorite people, but Sweet Georgia Brown. We are TIRED.
So tired, in fact, I had multiple moments these past few days that included fetal positions, ugly crying, and some Come To Jesus talks like never before.
Sometimes life gets so busy (with the good stuff AND the bad), that we absolutely need a reset. A chance to push pause, breathe, and re-prioritize our shiz-nit.
We finally got that this weekend. Our Weekend Pause, if you will. And it was glooooorious.
One of our favorite weekend activities is Family Music Mornings. We stay in our jammies (duh!), crank up the tunes, and dance, sing, snuggle, and sip our coffee. We have recently added family jam sessions to this tradition. 🙂
Lil’ AC really gets into this. She loves to request her favorite songs, which includes numbers by Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Twenty One Pilots. (Yeah, you could say we’re pretty proud parents.) We make a yummy breakfast, and intentionally slow down to breathe in one another. We make sure to put our devices away and truly cherish our memories in the making.
This is one of the special ways we connect as a family and prepare for the week ahead.
What are your favorite ways to take a Weekend Pause?
